Privacy Policy
Bowling Alley Simulator is made by Vulcron. We built our own analytics and crash-reporting system from the ground up so we don't have to hand your data to anyone else. This policy explains what the game and this website collect, why, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. We've kept it plain and honest — it describes what our software actually does.
The short version
- No third-party analytics, ad networks, or tracking SDKs.
- Game data is pseudonymous — tied to random IDs, not your name.
- Your Steam ID is never stored; it's converted to a one-way code the moment it reaches us.
- We don't store your IP address, and we never sell or share your data.
- You can turn analytics off in the game, and you can ask us to delete your data.
No third-party tracking
We run all analytics and crash reporting on our own server. The game does not include advertising networks, social-media trackers, or third-party analytics tools (no Google Analytics, no Sentry, nothing like that). The only external service the game can contact is Valve's Steam service, used solely to confirm that a request comes from a legitimate copy of the game — and even then your Steam ID is immediately converted into a one-way code (see below) and the original is discarded.
What the game collects
To understand how the game is played and to find and fix problems, the game sends us a small amount of pseudonymous data. It is linked to randomly generated identifiers, not to your real identity.
Gameplay analytics
- A random install ID and session ID (generated on your device).
- Platform/operating system and the game's version number.
- Event timestamps.
- Gameplay events such as starting and ending a session, session length, tutorial progress, the in-game day you reached, and end-of-day summaries (for example in-game cash balance and customer review numbers).
Crash diagnostics
- The error type and message.
- A technical stack trace describing where the crash happened. We strip out memory addresses and file/line details and hash it so similar crashes can be grouped together.
- The game scene and in-game day when the crash occurred.
About your Steam ID
When the game communicates with our server it may send your Steam ID over an encrypted connection. The instant it arrives, we convert it into an irreversible one-way code (an HMAC hash) and discard the original. We never store your raw Steam ID, and the code cannot be turned back into it. You are identified to us only by that anonymous code.
Information you choose to provide
If you send feedback from inside the game (a bug report or suggestion), you may optionally include an email address so we can follow up. That email is the only piece of personal information we ever store, and it's entirely your choice — feedback works fine without it.
What we do not collect
- Your real name.
- Your IP address (it is discarded and never stored with your data).
- Your precise location.
- Your contacts, photos, or files.
- Advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking data.
How we use the data
We use this information only to:
- Find, reproduce, and fix crashes and bugs.
- Understand how the game is played so we can balance and improve it.
- See overall, aggregate usage trends.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own use.
How long we keep it
Raw analytics and crash records are automatically deleted after about 180 days. After that, only anonymous, aggregated statistics (which can't be tied back to any individual) are kept. Feedback you send is kept until we've resolved it.
Your choices and rights
- Turn analytics off. You can disable gameplay analytics at any time in the game's settings. To help keep the game stable for everyone, crash reports may still be sent even when analytics are off — these contain only the diagnostic information described above.
- Access or delete your data. You can ask us for a copy of the data associated with you, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and include your in-game install ID (or Steam account) so we can locate the right records. We'll delete your analytics and crash data and remove personal details from any feedback.
This website
This marketing site is a static website. It sets no advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you across other sites. It does load web fonts from Google Fonts; as part of serving those fonts, Google may receive your IP address. The site also links out to Steam, YouTube, and other services, which have their own privacy policies.
Children's privacy
Bowling Alley Simulator is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
